Trying to decide...

I think I can convince my dad to let me get one or two more bettas...

the problem is which tank should I get?

I'll probably have about 30-50 to spend for the fish and everything.
I don't know if I should get a 2.5 gallon, or a bookshelf unit, or what.
I wouldn't want more than two more bettas and maybe two tanks.
My uncle has a ten gallon in okay condition, and I have 10 pounds of beige gravel. (No filter, and I'd need a tank divider for two boys)

I'd just need plants, a power filter, maybe a heater, maybe a tank, and the fish.
Recommendations, please?

Bookshelf unit ($61):
the tank ($40) a heater($11), and some plants($10)

10 gallon ($17-43):
I'd need a filter($11), maybe a heater (depends if my uncle gives it to me or not, $12), Plants($10, $6 if my uncle gives me some live ones) and maybe a divider($5-10).

2.5 gallon ($56):
I'd need tank ($36), a heater($11), and a couple plants($10).

I think the 10 gal would work best. It could be really cheap, and I could have two boys, if pushed it i could divide both ten gallons in three and go from 2 to 6 boys over time. >.<
