I'm planning to breed my male in a couple weeks. Should I condition him in the breeding tank or use my divider to keep him in just a small part of the breeding tank so that he is not as territorial towards the female? A lot of people recommend against keeping him in the tank.
It doesn't really matter. I usually look at the individuals - Most of the time my male will inhabit the breeding tank for at least a week. But for extra skittish females, they get to be in the breeding tank first and the male later. Sometimes both going in the breeding tank at the same time works too. . . . . you need to find what method/s you're most comfortable with.
