LOL Puddy (Black Melano male) who I am currently trying to breed is officially the dumbest fish ever.

I don't think he has an ounce of testosterone in him! He totally ignores Panda. (Who is nice and plump and Ready to breed!) And just goes about his business. in LOVE with the half full 10g tank he just joyfully swims around all day ignoring the beautiful little lady fish.

I'm thinking I should get a new breeding male eh?

Hopefully gonna a better breeder for Panda...

Just thought I'd share the funny story of my day...

Have your tried isolation? sometimes if you move both to separate containers so that they can't see each other and feed massive amount of live or frozen foods for 4-5 days and then drop them both in the spawning tank at the same time giving them a bit of temp shock can stimulate spawning...be sure and keep them on a 12h photoperiod. Also topping off with soft water or rainwater can help too-this simulate rainy season.

Since Saturday night. Released her yesterday because he wasn't very interested so I released her so he can get a little more excited. :) They are being very nice to each other and my female has faint stripes. Things are lookin' good!

Conditioned them for almost 2 weeks with frozen bloodworms and the occasional pellet.

Thanks for your advice OFL! Really appreciated.
