Here's my new CT lady. I took these a few hours ago so right now she's much darker coloured ... but the thing is is that I have no idea what colour she is. I *think* she's a mustard gas though ... just a very dark one. Time will tell as always
I've named her Marilyn after a dear friend passed away this weekend. I'm sure she'd love it if she knew I honoured her by naming a betta after her.
Thats really sweet Fleet, I'm sure she would be aswell.
Also the betta is beautiful, I learned today that what people call mustered is actually much different than the original... this betta looks pretty good though.
Thanks! "Mustard Gas" is just a term for a dark bodied fish with light fins. You usually see them with blue, black or green bodies and yellow or orange fins.
So I have a few more pics of Marilyn. It's very had to get pics because she's shy and will not stop moving, lol! She ate bloodworms today so her tummy is nice and round. She is still clamped, but I'm thinking she's just getting used to her new surroundings.
It almost looks like she's been crying and the marimos are giving her a shoulder to console her ...
Marimo: Thar thar leetle fisheh. U are een a gud plaz, yeah?
LOL I forgot about this post!
It's been a few days now and she's unclamped (YAAAY!!!), eating well, and in general being a very cute little lady. She's more secure now that I've got some java moss for her. I'll try to get some more pics soon
She's still here ... unless you replaced her with a nefarious robofish!
Marilyn's the little blue smidge under the leaf. <3
