I live on the eighth floor of my apartment, and I'm worried that air pressure (or other relevant problems) might affect my betta fish :(

To supply you with a bit more information:
In the native betta habitat of Vietnam and Southern China, betta fish have been located in an altitude range from sea level all the way up to 3,000 feet. So being on the eighth story of an apartment is of no real concern, I'd be more worried about the state and geographic locale you live in, as that would have far more of an affect than the height of a building.
