My newest fish, Danny (given to me by the mother of a young son, my neighbor, whose childish fancies have long since gone in regards to this fish), seems to have swim bladder. I didn't think I was overfeeding him--I feed him the same amount as I do my other fish--but, since he's started it about two weeks ago, I have fed him sparingly, and nothing has come of it. If anything, he looks worse.
If he's floating at the top on his side then, yes, its probably swimbladder disorder. I would fast him for 2 or 3 days, then feed him either freeze dried or frozen daphnia. Hope this helps.
