You have to put water conditioner in after (well, with) every water change, but bacterial supplements only tell you to do that so you'll buy their product. In a cycled tank, you should have enough stability that your tank can cope with a water change just fine, and in an uncycled one you don't need supplement anyway.
Also, last I heard they have/will be discontinuing the Attison's PRO food. I also wouldn't suggest their line of betta food, as their crude protein % is merely 36%...
A lot of breeders use Attison's Pro. But personally, I go with Omega One Betta Buffet. I'm not breeding any of the ones I have now (when I do get my breeding set up I will be using different fish), so I just go with the highest quality (imo only) for the average owner/betta.
Atison's was discontinued over a year ago. I wouldn't use anything else if it wasn't gone. It's pure brine shrimp embryos and my fish went nuts for them and did amazing things for their health in a way I haven't been able to emulate since. NLS is second best I've found and Omega One after that. There is no other pellet I'd feed.
I'd like to add: Vacuum/air line tubing siphon for water changes! And thermometer. Also, terracotta pots are great (I use them!), but the hole on the bottom always needs to be either plugged or made large enough (smoothly) for the betta to swim easily through.
