i have a female betta in my 10 gallon tank along with 3 neon tetras, 3 dwarf platys, and 2 ghost shrimps. I feed the ghost shirnp pieces of algae wafers about 3 times a week. today, i noticed that the betta was nibbling on a piece...then swallowed it whole! then she staretd "hiccuping". she seems better now...but...should I be worried?
I think if she's ok now and isn't having any more problems, she'll be alright. Mine does that when she eats something that is too big for her. They get greedy and want to eat everyone else's food. lol You may have to take her out when you feed the other fish if it becomes a problem.
