In the tank with the male betta and eggs, there is a snail. It is crawling up a plant that is stuck to the nest with the eggs. We don't know if we should move the plant or try to remove the snail or do nothing. Please help quickly!!
I have a lot of common snails and live plants in my spawning tanks and have never had any problems with snail eating good eggs or healthy fry, they will eat fungus eggs and dead fry and you want them to do this.
The male usually will knock snail off when they get too close to the nest as well
We thought he would knock the snail away but he never did so we had to take it out with some tweezers. We tried to cut the plant that the snail was on but the male wouldn't let us get close enough to it to cut it.
