his head got cut off but he's still alive??

I would keep him separate and do large water change in the tank he was before to prevent infection.

I am not sure but he is eating and living. I plan on doing a vacuum of the tank this week and will try and do a larger WC.

I wasn't thinking about eating. I know worms can regrow entirely. Maybe they are the same? If that's so, he probably has enough fat to live for a while. In the north they hibernate, they have to live off of something.

I just double checked the picture is still up and visible to me.

*update* I finally saw him on the front glass last night and his mouth is still intact. Just most of his foot is gone. So he will be able to survive.
