Young VTs will look like spade tails, so just know that in case it's labeled as VT, it is likely (99.99%) it is a young VT who will grow out of it.
Spades used to be very common in the early 90s, but not so much now.. people just sorta.. stopped working with them. You will tend to see spade tails more in VT females, and very young VTs (eventually grow out of them). They still happen from time to time, but for some reason you don't see many of them out there anymore.
If you like him, then get him, just be aware he is most likely going to grow into a normal looking VT. But there is a small off chance he may not..
