every time i open the feeding door on my 5 gallon tank, my betta jumps at my finger when i am about to drop the food in!! i think it is the funniest thing ever. i feed him twice a day, 2 pellets in the morning followed by 3 pellets at night, and substitute the pellets for bloodworms to change up his diet, but only give him one in the morning and one at night. i was wondering if anybody else's betta did the same thing.
Ha, yes, Douglas used to do that. Then he realized he would get fed whether he jumped or not, and stopped doing it.
I have the laziest fish...they take after me.
J.C. will start doing a little wiggle dance when I open up the drawer I keep his food in. Then when I drop the food in his tank, he jumps to get it. You'd think I starved him, the way he carries on.lol
My guy had a brain fart i think earlier, He was in his little glass cup cave, and saw me open the hood and immediately got excited and tried to swim up, but it seriously took him a few seconds to think to swim *out* of the cup/cave before trying to swim upwards. I had to laugh, silly thing. He does a wiggly dance when I go to feed him.
lol I guess he forgot he was in his cave and thought he could just swim up instead of out of the cave first.
