I have been keeping a snail in each tank...I know they poop a lot - the "Betta Baster" really helps suck that stuff out of the gravel...anyway...
I have had two die, and it seemed like their shells had really thinned out from when I purchased them. Is there something I need to be giving them to keep the shells healthy and growing? I can't find it now, but for instance, I thought I remembered reading someone would put a bird cuttlebone piece in the tank for them to help with shell health.
My kids love their snails, and I love that they eat my algae. I want to replace the one that died, but I want to try to make sure this one doesn't make for a hat trick of dead snails!
