Im setting up a southeast asian blackwater tank and its a nano. Im thinking of adding Mini Roseboras which do not or barely grow an inch. Any one know if they tend to be a nippy species? dont want to add them and my Betta get chewed on.
I've had microrasboras (borasas maculata) and they weren't nippy. To my knowledge, mosquito rasboras (borasas brigittae) aren't either. Both are very pretty.
I honestly don't think they are big enough to nip anything. I was worried my betta would eat them at first, but they got on pretty well, til I changed the substrate, didn't even think about the effect on the pH, and killed them.
Thanks! Good to know when im done with the biotope ill introduce some into the tank
