I was curious though, is there any way a betta can live with other small friends in a 2 gallon? Like I saw some extremely small fish at petsmart and thought they would fit but I'm completely unsure.
No. You can't have tank-mates with a betta in a 2 gallon. A 10 gallon is the minimum to have actual fish as tank-mates, though in a 5 you could have a snail OR a few ghost shrimp OR a couple ADFs.
Don't worry though, bettas prefer being alone. They're solitary fish my nature and, for the most part, will only sometimes tolerate tank-mates....they won't really be 'friends'.
