My sister feeds her fire-bellied toads mealworms, and I know that many would recommend bloodworms, mosquito larvae or shrimp for betta treats, but I wondered if it would be at all possible to feed my betta a mealworm. I am not intending to regularly feed my betta mealworms by no means.
I know mealworms are big (for a betta's mouth) so it would have to be cut into small pieces. My betta is shorter than 2 inches long, so being a little guy, I understand the importance of cutting large food into small portions. I already have to dice up his mini betta pellets with a razor, or else he won't eat them (he's that small!).
Thank you!
