So I did get that Jungle food yesterday, but I cant get the girl to eat anything. All she does is hide. I had a clearish plastic drawer and put her in that and filled it to hold 3 gallons since I don’t have a tank for her right now. She still has that stingy white poo. Any tips?
Perhaps try soaking the food in bloodworm juice? Like, thaw out a cube of froze bloodworms, let it sit for a few more minutes until the water is a little murkyish, and then soak the food in the water(you can re-freeze the bloodworms). Hope your little girl starts eating and gets better!
Personally I would avoid re-freezing bloodworms... invites bacteria. In fact the rule of thumb is if you have any reason to think that a package of bloodworms has been allowed to thaw enroute from the factory to store, you shouldn't be buying it at all.
Soak the bloodworms in meds and feed. Do it asap because it's never a good sign when a fish with IPs stops eating.
Really? Its that bad to refreeze? ; I never knew that.....I'd always done that when I had extra bloodworms.....darn, I can't do it anymore >.<; So disregard my horrible advice there
I'd always heard about soaking food in bloodworm juice when a betta wouldn't eat it though...?
Soak the food in bloodworm juice and if that doesn't work crush some jungle parasite clear, mix it with a bit of water and soak some frozen bloodworms or whatever she will eat in there for 15 mins.
