My betta autumn, she's the red and gold one with brown, the girl. lol
Anyway,
she is very smart!
It's so cool how the smallest of animals can hold so much in them.
I move my finger around the tank and my bettas will follow or stare at me. Autumn always finds interest, I think she thinks it's food. I painted my nails pink and she actually acted different. She stared at the pink on my nails and had this look like "what's that?"
They are so awesome. :D

I totally agree that they are smart - and observant! I got my new guy, Mustang, on a Thursday night and by Friday night he knew exactly what to look for at feeding time.

Cool. :D
Yea, when I used a cup to scoop out my first betta, he realized what it was and would always try to swim away from it, he got mad at me one time so I gave him a bloodworm and he acted okay again. lol
I don't have a sorority but it sounds like fun! I have 1 girl and she is very happy with her space, lol
