Okay so I have 3 bettas. I have 2 in a divided tank and they are super healthy and active, but one ( my crown tail) isnt eating!. ? He is making HUGE bubble nest, and is super crazy. But wont eat.

Also my boyfriend got a fish and he was super active and eating this morning and when I got home his fins were clamped together, and he was barely moving. He jsut sat on the bottom of the tank for about an hour.

What do guys think is going on here?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!

HE WONT EVEN MOVE WHEN WE MOVE HE TANK SLIGHTLY!

Sorry you are having problems...have a few questions...

How big are the tanks, how much and how often are the water changes and when was the last one, water temp, filtration, live plants, additives used, how long have you had them and is this the first time they have been sick, what kind of food...can you post a pic?

For the boyfriends fish (btw thanks for taking the time to fill out!) you'll NEED to upgrade to at least a 1 gallon tank. Both tanks need to be heated to at least 76 degrees. (preferably 77-78) It should also be filtered.

The same applies to your fish.
IDK what your BF's fish is wrong. I have no experience in betta sickness. BUT- I do know I wouldn't worry about him not eating. He seems healthy. When he get's hungry, he'll probably eat. If within a 5 days he STILL isn't eating at all, come back.

okay thanks. I never knew they need heat until I came on here. So on payday (next Friday) I am getting a 50 watt heater for my 10 gallon tank. As for a fliter for the 10 gallon I don't think I will be getting only because I enjoy cleaning their tank and its a divided so I dont know how well that would work. My understanding was that, I did not need any kind of filtering system as long as I kept up with cleaning it 1 week and so on.

hahaha it's hard to know what information you are getting is right or wrong. So I am glad I'm on here.

thanks for answering.
