I posted this in the thread, but I thought I'd post a separate note too for some help. I lost a girl yesterday. I took her out and trimmed down some of the browning anacharis (so sort of rearranged it floating on top). This morning I woke up to one of my girls with big chunks missing from her fins. They had been getting along okay up until this point. There had been no new bite marks since the initial confrontations when I set up the tank.
Right now, it's 4 girls in a heavily planted 10 gallon. The top is a bit open though where they all come up and beg for food. 3 of the girls are around the same size, the one is a bit smaller (but she's a tough cookie). I think Mabel (the crazy piggy one) may be trying to take over. She has been submissive up until now.
Should I give them a few days to settle or should I get a new fish or two to help spread out the aggression? Of course, I would rearrange the tank plants/decor, etc.
