I'm thinking of adding four cory cats in my 40 liter tank would this push the bio-load over it's limit?
Thanks guys :-D

I would stick with the pygmies. Whilst larger cories, such as bronze, won't die if you chuck them in a 40 litre, they are much larger and do seem confined by the space. Smaller cories (pygmy or panda) will be much better for the size of a 40 litre. This is especially true if it is something like the AquaOne 380, which is cube-shaped rather than rectangular, and has quite a small footprint.

Bear in mind that pygmy and panda cories really do need a sand substrate rather than gravel. :)
