I want a trio of here really badly, so I've done a bit of research.
Care- Good water params, no big tankmates, food should have some vegetable matter, adaptable to the pH (avoid extremes, though), adaptable to temperature but 68-78 is recommended.
Tank size- 5g is good enough for a small group
Setup- Heavily planted is probably best
Breeding- Uh, they're livebearers, so put a male and a female in a tank lol. Apparently they are pretty peaceful with their babies and the babies are born fairly large, so it isn't hard to rear them... Plants would provide cover for them though.
Mostly the same care as other livebearers, but they are smaller and you have to take that into account when considering tankmates (if they are going to have any) and filter and stuff.
Planted tanks would be beneficial but probably aren't necessary.
Nope, no other tankmates other than cherrie shrimp. There will be sponge filter. Should the temps be lower because I read that they are from the southern United states? Oh and it will be a NPT.
That all sounds good to me. According to seriouslyfish the suggested temp range is 68-78 degrees, so I would go by that.
