Hi, I'm The Banana and I have poor impulse control

I'm new to betta keeping. Last time I had a betta I was nine and I accidentally cooked the poor thing (parents, don't let the kids have access to the heater control). Otherwise I spent about four years as a teenager breeding six different types of guppies until my paternal unit decided to feed them to his silver barbs (@#!%@#%$) which he then promptly killed by putting in a rain tank (!!!!). I pretty much gave up aquariums at that point.

After what I swear was almost a DARE from my husband (he argues that it was not) I set up a 10g aquarium for my son, four, and we got a little red veil guy (Bulldozer-Train) from a pet-store because my son was 'in love' with him.

This past Wednesday, while at a pet store picking up more plants, my son fell in love with an opaque delta tail which he has named Spooky Ghost. Spooky Ghost had a constipation issue and a slightly torn tail but after a couple of days of brine shrimp and blood worms he's recovered from the first and is quickly recovering from the second.

For myself, I saw the AquaBid thread, fell in love with the little dudes I saw, bid on them and then went out and got a 20g which I've divided into two 5g sections and one 10g section (future sorority? One divider away from two more guys?) which is cycling now.

Anyway this is a GREAT forum and I'm loving the community. I'm looking forward to learning from all of your wisdom!

Welcome to the forum

I love your intro (with the exception of the fish deaths by parental units). Enjoy your stay and good luck with your new bettas.
