So I recently got the Aqueon 10 watt mini heater and I have a 2.5 gal fish tank. Is it possible that the temperature in my tank would be too hot for my betta?
well, 10w is ideal for anything ranging from 2-5 ish gallons. However if you wanna be extra sure, let it run with water and keep a thermometre inside and see for yourself.
I use Marina 10w heaters. Auto adjusted. And haven't had much issue.
You need to have a thermometer to keep track. I have the same heater in my 2.5 gal tanks and they are working fine. However, some have said they do malfunction so I am keeping close tabs on them.
