Ok, so my number of bettas just moved to seven, and I need to figure out how to keep them heated and happy. I have jars, but if I did that they would need tons of water changes.
I have an 18-gallon plastic Sterilite container and a ten gallon tank.
The Sterilite is about half-full of water and heated and I place various tanks and pitchers inside of it, with the fish in them.
I am planning on putting one male in a heated 2.5 gal by himself, and place the other three males in two 1 gallons and one 2.5 gal in the heated Sterlite container, with the females free swimming around in the container. Will this be safe for the females? There's three of them, will the plastic tub be safe for them to swim around in?
I cannot use the ten gallon because that will be my spawning tank.
Thanks for any advice!
