SIP Daphne.... :,(

My poor little deformed girl....she was perfectly fine two days ago, and yesterday she was acting odd, just hanging out in the corner swimming around, didnt even come over to try and eat. It concerned me, but I just let it go. I should have removed her like I had thought....I don't know if she was killed or just died. But I found her with no fins, a missing eye, and shrimp eating her.
This is my first time losing a betta. My only concern now is that there were 8 other girls in with her, so I hope it was just natural causes, maybe from her deformities, and not a disease....

Two days ago

Thanks...it was such a shock because she was FINE! It still hasn't really hit me yet...I'm just thinking of all the different scenarios, and dang it, I wish I had checked on her last night! :(:(:(:(:(

Thank you both, I did do a partial water change and vacuumed around where I found her. She's still sitting in a cup in my kitchen...I don't know what to do with her. :( I don't feel right throwing her away.

Sorry for your loss.

Ok, I know some people will think it's strange, but both my prvious guys I put in an Altoids box and buried them in the flower garden.

I think that's a nice idea. I may bury her, or even put her into one of my flower pots....but they will be transplanted soon, so that wouldn't be nice to have a fish carcass fall out of the pot...maybe I can freeze her for a while until I transplant my flowers.
