Hi,
Sorry if this question has been posted before, I couldn't find a thread about it. I'm brand new to owning bettas. I got my first one month ago tomorrow. For the first few days I had him in a tiny bowl but after reading through these posts, got him set up in a 5 gallon tank with heater, filter, and good plants, caves, etc. I switch off between feeding him pellets and freeze dried blood worms.
My question is this: When I brought him home, he was a really really dull dark purple color, almost black. Now, all his fins are a really bright vibrant blue and his anal fin is is half red and half blue. The rest of his body is still kinda of purple but its turning the same bright blue as his fins. Is color change normal? His scales look smooth and the color is pretty uniform. I've never had a betta before and don't know if this is ok or not. Thanks!
