i have a red vt male. when i first got him, he was doing fine. yesterday, i noticed that he keeps darting and going up&down the walls of his tank.

his water is heated, and i just fed him. i checked for parasites (since i read that darting around is a symptom), and there's none.

right now, i'm treating his little fin rot at the end of his tail with Aquarium salt and stress coat.

please help me figure this out! thank you!

If this is a sudden onset of change in behavior especially after a water change.....it could be either forgotten dechlorinator, not enough used or some type of contamination....and the environment/water needs to be ruled out as the cause....

I would make a 50% water change dosing the dechlorinator for the full volume of the tank-even double dosing-turn off the light...be sure the replacement water is close in temp of the tank water and double check your water temp too....
