At night when my betta goes to sleep, he sleeps at the bottom of the tank, either in his cave or just on the gravel. He also takes little naps during the day. Is this all normal?
Sounds completely normal to me. Mine generally sleep on the floor or in the leaves of the java fern. This isn't a problem in shallow tanks. In deep tanks, they have to make a mad dash for the surface when they need to breathe.
Mine did that all the time. I ahv'nt seen any in my ten do it, but then again I cant watch them not beg because I soon as the door opens they rush to the front. I saw Bubbles do it once though,
You could take out the metal part. I did and Lebron uses it when he's resting. Parameters are fine with me, you could always make one.
