Ok, I have a ten gallon tank with a huge curvy piece of driftwood that provides a proficient amount of cover. I also have some Christmas moss and bamboo in the tank to swim in. It is of course heated and filtered.

I want to know if this is a good living environment for a female betta sorority. I am up for lots of water changes and extra work, but the idea of a fish being bullied to death upsets me. Is a sorority tank very stressfull and hard on the fish? Can they live happily together? Is it hard to have a peaceful tank?

Please help!

Generally a sorority is possible in a ten gallon tank, with ten gallons being the bare minimum size. It is definitely not without risk, though, and it can fail- and fail spectacularly. Whether or not you want to risk it is up to you.

I do advise planting the tank densely, quarantining, and stocking properly if you do try it.
