Question Questions about Rooibos tea

Ok, I have just put 2 organic, 100% rooibos tea bags in my 10 gallon for my boys. How will this affect testing the water with my API water drop testing kit?
I'm hoping it will help with holey dorsal fin and healing up the fins on my tailbiter. And also might help with curling fins.

Tea will increase the acidity of the water, this is actually one of its benefits. If your filter contains activated charcoal it may remove a lot of the compounds from the tea. It's best to remove any charcoal if you can while treating your fish with tea.

Is that the only type of tea you can use? How long do you keep it in for? And will this affect my plants?

When I tried Rooibos, it lowered my Ph by about 0.2/0.4

Along with clean water, it should help with all of those conditions, even the fin-curling. Might even calm the tailbiter down. (You can hope.)

@Panda
Some members have had luck with green tea. My fish didn't like it one bit. I'm sticking with Rooibos or IAL.
