Hello I'm a college student in South Florida and I recently setup a small tank in my room. A week later I had 4 tanks and 6 bettas!

I joined to learn more about these fun fish and hopefully make some bigger tanks this summer.
IMHO they make great dorm room fish. They are strong and low maintenance.
This was my first betta, a red crowntail. He is big, fat, and very happy. I don't have a name for him yet, but my roommate nicknamed him "betta flocka flames" after the rapper and his tail looks like flames.
This is Zombie. He got sick after I bought him, but he pulled through!
This is Whitey. Curious little guy and loves to swim.

This is my 6 gallon female betta tank. 3 females, 4 neon tetras, a shrimp, and a pleco to keep the tank sparkly clean. They get along pretty well.

Sorry for the crappy pictures from my phone, Dylan.
