Theater is one of my favorite things... living in NYC I get to enjoy all the shows...

Any other fans out there? Seen anything lately?

Yup :) Waiting for The Book of Mormon to come to Boston next year. I haven't seen Jersey Boys yet so will prolly get tix to that too.

I work 30 or 40 steps away from the Opera House.

Les Miserable was back here last month but sadly, I didn't get tix. It's one of my fav. shows ever!

Ahh... the Book of Mormon is fantastic! Great show... Jersey Boy's is great as well.. one of the B-way Jersey Boy's lives in my building... super nice guy.

Just saw the new production of Evita... really enjoyed it... so much to see before the Tony Awards!

We used to drive to NYC at least once a year to catch the shows on broadway.

Last time I was there was for Chicago (a few years back) and then a trip to Tribeca to nosh at Nobu. Love love love that restaurant!

I used be a professional Lighting Technician in the UK and worked on a lot of West End shows,
I have someone I used to work with who is working on Spiderman. If you get a chance and can get a ticket, it is well worth going to see. Technical aspects of it are amazing!

I went to see Titanic the Musical on Saturday. That was pretty good.

I looooooove Titanic the Musical. When I was younger, I used to put the cast album on and just belt along to relieve stress. We'll Meet Tomorrow is a good way to work off extra emotion.

Napoleon, I recommend Lysistrata Jones. Dancing basketball players, who could ask for more? Also, I recommend Carrie, just because my favorite B'way singer Marin Mazzie plays the mother in that. Are you a member of the Playbill club? If not, you definitely should sign up because you get some pretty good discounts.

My brother lives in NYC and he has no idea how lucky he is to be living in the heart of the theater world. Plus, his roommate is writing a musical (already has a neo-opera out) so they know lots of theater people. I hate my brother. *glares furiously at absent brother* I went back last Nov. and saw Hugh Jackman's show.

Oh yes, drool very much. XD Front row, which had its perks. I got to slap his hand but on the other side of the coin, from the front row I got a really good view of his ankles and not much else unless I craned my neck back at an impossible angle. But a broken neck was worth it just to see him up close.

EDIT: Tazman, I can only imagine the technical aspects of Spiderman. All the guy wires that have to be manipulated, the set changes. It took them a while to get it off the ground (literally) but I hear it's worth it. And I also hear the newest incarnation pokes fun at itself sometimes.

Did anyone watch the CNN New Year's program last year? (2011) They did a skit where the Green whatsisname kidnapped Anderson Cooper because he wanted to take over the world and be an anchor and he wanted AC to be his co-anchor. It was hilarious.
