Betta obsessed with sand

Romeo LOVES sand and eats it along with nosing around in it. Is that normal or no?

Are you sure he is actually EATING the sand? Or is he just picking them up and popping them back out?
Other wise, I think he is just getting used to the new substrate. Different feel n such.

I think my Spike prefers his sand over gravel. Ever since I switched he has made little beds and likes to lay in them.

What do you mean, something gray?

With sand, be sure to poke it with a stick and stir it once a week. Otherwise, it will go bad. Very bad.
