Baffling filter

I got Gwynfor into his new tank yesterday. He's a very young/small PK (suspect him to be a HMPK but he wont flare for more than a sec at a time). Since moving him into the tank, I have found out that the filter current is a bit much for this little guy.

So I am looking for a way to baffle his filter. The problem is that I don't know how to do so with this particular filter. It's a mini might power filter. Came with the tank. It does it's job but, as I said, the outflow is a little much for Gwynfor. It came with its own little "baffle" but that doesn't really help.
So does anyone have any suggestions on how I would go about baffling it?

Depending on the filter type even just a sponge attached with a rubber band to the out-flow will help.

I can't tell from pictures whether this would work for your specific filter, but it's the method I use to baffle my 20-gallon's filter when needed:

It could be adjusted to a smaller filter's size.

Thank you. I don't think it would though. That's how I baffled my other filters. This one looks similar to this:

I think a sponge and a rubber band would work best on that one.
