New Tank arrived in the mail!

So my Fluval Flora came in the mail today! Yay!

I am super excited to get this tank set up and cycled and get Notch and the other inhabitants moved over.

Set up a new blog http://aquatankscape.blogspot.com/ if you want to keep tabs on the tank's growth.

Meanwhile, here's a picture of me leak testing!

And for kicks, a video of my cat trying to help:

Awesome...setting up a new tank is always so much fun.....look forward to seeing pics once your done....I love the look of the rimless tanks.....

Beautiful cat...cats love to help....laffs.....I know mine do....usually turning a bucket of water over....lol.......when my 3 boys hear the water running they come running to help....lol...and especially when I feed....they try to eat the food by drinking the water and the Betta snapping at their tongues.....what a sight.....

While it's a rimless, I have a glass canopy on there because of the cats and also to keep notch inside the tank if he goes jumpy.

I have no doubts that my cats would love a betta snack... we've moved them both to a raw food diet - mostly chicken, but considering adding in whole rodents.

So.. new pictures up on the blog.. passed the leak test and got to work on planting. Doing a mix of planted/fishless cycle with ammonia (thank you Ace Hardware!)

Here's some photos:

Sorry off topic, what is the plant closest to the camera on the left on the last picture? I have some but not sure on what it's called and can't read the writing on the other picture.

Great set up btw :D

Looks like vallisneria spiralis to me Sheldon. That tank is very pretty! You have very good skills at aqua scaping!

Not the grass like one. Should have said middle I didn't notice the Spiralis. The tall one with big roundish leaves.

@Kim It's the Fluval Flora, 7.9 Gallons. The tank came with a styrafoam backing which I removed and some other stuff.

@Sheldon Brazillian Pennywort (Hydrocotyle leucocephala)

Amazing looking tank! :) What substrate are you using by the way? It's a very nice color.
