At least the bettas would be properly cared for, and the breeders/owners would have a better education of them compared to what I've seen from most pet-store employees :D

Sorry, dogs don't "murder" people nor, by definition, one another. The vast majority of "attacks" you'll read about in the media are the direct result of irresponsible owners who neither train, socialize, or supervise their animals. Trust me, there is precious little "training" going on in those instances.

Again, don't mean to derail a fish forum with dog related issues, but just as betta owners do not want myths perpetuated about the care of fish, the owners and lovers of many maligned dog breeds cannot afford to have myths perpetuated about their dogs.

oh I am sorry, people slaughter other animals and each other via their dogs. Either way, DOG FIGHTING and such is the cause of us... And I do know here in Edmonton some guy trained his dogs to attack people. Not as guard dogs :( I mean... full blown as he commanded whenever he said so kind of attack.
