Egg suffocation?

I tried using transparent plastic lid for my spawn yesterday, so the eggs are in the nest. The plastic lid is concaved inside, he built the nest right under the plastic lid. So i was wondering if the eggs or newly born fry would suffocate? Since no air is able to enter and circulate?

They shouldn't, the fry use their gills to breath during the first several weeks-later in the 3-5 week range the labyrinth organ start to develop and why its important for the air above the water to be warm and moist/humid.

oh alright :D i just assumed they breath through their labyrinth organ right away, thats why they're kept in the bubblenest above the water. But anyway the male moved them to a different location the plants haha Thanks for the reply :D
