Talking Sara & Keroro! Hi everyone!

I'm so glad to have found this forum!

My name is Sara and my first ever betta's name is Keroro, but Kero for short. I named him after one of my favorite TV shows! I just got him this past Sunday and he was sort of an impulse buy (but carefully planned and thought out) because, unfortunately, my mother and I have been evicted from our home and have to separate... This includes my dog that was born in my childhood home with me, Moosie, who has to go live with my Aunt for quite some time. I needed a companion and a buddy still or else I'd go crazy now that I'll be living on my own in the city for the summer, so I got myself a betta!

He lives in a spacious 2.5 gallon TopFin Aquascene 360 tank with one faux bamboo plant, natural stones with two medium to large sized ones, a few tiny sea shells, and 4 stems of a live aqua plant. I also got him a lovely betta hammock.

I'm still trying to get him more comfortable and acquainted with his habitat, but he seems to react to me quite a lot by coming over when I get through the door and waking up with me once I turn the light on.

I wish I could get him a larger tank but I'll be an RA for my dorm next semester and we can't have fish in the first place but it's very easy to get away with having one.

Regardless, hello and thanks for welcoming me here! :)
