Talking Happy Betta Mom!

My pair spawned today! I was so excited! Here are pics!

This is the best pic I have of Amaroq!

Here is a picture of Cheeka. She is VERY photo shy! Sorry photos not the greatest.

Here is my breeding set up before the IAL changed the water.

This is one of the best photos I have of the pair in the tank.

This is the best I could do picture wise.

I put them together last night and the spawned early afternoon. They are both picking up the eggs and Amaroq is putting them in his nest, while Cheeka puts them in her own spot. She is driving Amaroq CRAZY! Last time I breed him when I removed the female he wouldn't tend to the nest, instead he would search for the female. So I am going to keep them together until they need to be seperated. Hopefully will get better pics up soon!!!!!

Here is some pics of the eggs!

Where the eggs are in the plant is were Cheeka put the eggs. He is trying to move them under the cup.

Here they are again!

These are the most eggs I have ever had. They are a whole bunch more under the cup.

@BeautifulBetta Thanks!!!!

Woke up this morning and when I looked in the spawning tank, Amaroq was laying on the bottom of the tank I could see most of the eggs were on the bottom too. When he saw me he swam to the surface as fast as he could and took a big gulp of air then he swam back down and hid. I grabbed a cup and scooped up the eggs I could find on the surface and floated them. When I was done, Amaroq came out of hiding, started finding all his eggs on the bottom and started picking them up and spitting them on to the surface. He is still doing this as I type. I'm happy he is being a good boy after all.

I don't remember how long it takes for eggs to hatch. It has been a while since I last breed my bettas.

Congrats....

Usually it takes about 24-30hour more or less depending on the water temp...at 80F I usually get hatch in 24-26h....
