Although his fins are unclamped, and he still eats (though I've severely cut back the size and frequency of feeding) it seems he's getting worse. His head now sinks completely while just the very last of his tail stays at the surface leaving him hanging upside down most of the time. He's also losing a lot of color and I can't quite tell if he's turning more yellow or gray but it doesn't look good. And of course I'm starting to notice what seems to be the pine cone effect on his scales. Though it's certainly not as bad as many pictures I've seen on the web, when I look at him from above (or the side rather because he's hanging) I can definitely see his scales are starting to lift. He is in the hospital tank now and I'll be doing 100% water changes with 3 tsps of epsom salt to see if anything gets better. On Friday I may send him home as well because I live about an hour's drive away from home and I'm moving some of my other stuff. Should I change anything about the way I'm treating him in the mean time?
