I think my fish is sick, PLEASE help if you can *video of his behavior attached*

So my fish hasn't been eating much lately and he started burying himself into his plant or sinking to the bottom of his tank. His fins were also clenched which is apparently a bad sign.

I've looked at other threads and in books that say usually these are signs of sickness.

When I noticed this happening, I cleaned his tank. his water is conditioned and i put in a small amount of aquarium salt to see if it would help.

tonight he still wasn't looking good so I assumed his water was too cold... (my house temp is about 73 degrees...) so i put his fish bowl (of probably 73) INSIDE OF ANOTHER BOWL of hot water.

apparently the water outside the bowl was too hot and turned the water inside of his bowl to around 90 degrees :/ (idk how it became that hot)

I finally was able to reduce it gradually and it is now in a container with his water at 80.

I'm scared because now he is breathing heavy, my other fish did this when she was dying so i'm becoming very nervous. I assumed he was sick to begin with, and now i feel like i made things worse.

I dumped out some of his water so he could come to the top easier for air (suggested by someone on another thread)

But the heavy breathing is scaring me... does anyone have any ideas about how to fix this?

here's the video of his breathing...

I appreciate any help! thank you so much.

If you could fill this out to the best of your ability, it would help us figure out what is wrong with him

How often do you feed your betta fish?

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
How old is your fish (approximately)?
Without knowing all of that, all I can say is his tank is way too small and needs a proper aquarium heater, the fluctuations in temp aren't good for him.
