Well at least I know Prime works

Last night after getting home from work I decided to test the water in my 5 gallon tank. I was bad and had skipped a water change. Well to my surprise the Nitrites were seriously out of control. So I did a half tank change. It was like 11pm so it was quick. And added Prime. It said you could add a bit more to help in sudden Nitrite spikes. Well this morning I decided to test it to see how its doing. Well unsurprisingly the Nitrites read 0. I'm like okay that's weird. Then it just dawned on me, well stupid you did dose it with Prime last night for that purpose. Well at least I know it did work. Last night it was 5.0 ppm on Nitrites and today its 0. I'm such a dork. No more skipping water changes. And I might do them a bit more the next little bit just to make sure I don't get anymore crazy readings.

It's good stuff. :) When I know that I won't be able to do a water change on schedule, I chuck a half-mil of Prime into the tank. :) It keeps them holding on for a few extra days.
