Hi everybody!

My name is Callie and I'm from Waxahachie, TX. I've been lurking for a couple of months now gathering up as much information as I possibly could about properly keeping a betta. I'd like to take a moment and thank everyone on this site for all of the wisdom and loads of information gathered here. Now I'm the proud new keeper of a lovely little guy named Alpheios and I hope to add more in time!

By the way, I love his name, Alpheios.
You did a good job!!! Researching before buying. What size is his tank? I'm sorry if I'm intruding but, Anything under 2.5 gallons will make them not thrive. They could live but not thrive. Oh, and another one would be a heater. they are Tropical Fish. They are lethargic in cold water. Anything under 72F= Unhealthy Fish. Anyways, Good Luck, and enjoy the world of Betta Fish and their keeping!

No intrusion at all! He's living it up in a 5 gallon with heater, low flow filter, thermometer, LED light on a timer, and some snazzy decor. He's a bit spoiled as I've had his tank set up a month or so before I ever brought him home. I've had him about a week. Once I get the hang of the forums, I'll post a photo of him.
