@Sheldon: I think aokashi meant that most newbie owners will just stick them in a little unheated 0.8 gallon vase just to put on their coffee table as a pure decorative item.

There IS a member on here (I forget who) who has two back-to-back fluval Edges on his coffee table to hide the cables in between. The Edge I believe is 6 gallons :)

Oh I know. Just wanted to let people know that you can have your fish as a display without it being cruel :) It's only like having a kitten to cuddle. You can still have a kitten for cuddles without being cruel like you can have a display fish tank. You should see some of my friend's cichlid and malawi tanks. Puts our little designer betta tanks to shame!

There's a difference between "display tanks" and tanks that are far lesson than even a gallon... sizes like that cannot be heated safely and require a LOT of maintenance to keep them clean.

Of course =D if you can manage a beautiful big tank (NPTs are the best IMO) go for it! lol. I just meant to say that the fish could care less ;)

Did you talk to a moderator about making a new account? Because it is against the rules.... I'm pretty sure there is a "forgot password" button on the login page. PM a Moderator to either help you get the password back or merge your accounts
