Weird Symptom

I want to make sure my newest betta P.K. doesn't die. He has small groupings of a silvery-white areas on his scales. More particularly his furthest forward fins and gills have this. Is this a disease? A bacteria? A virus? Please contact me if this is an illness, if it is treatable and how to treat it. Also, if it is none of the above, please tell me what it is and if it threatens his life. He has also been very lazy for the last couple of days, he's normally very active so I could tell something was wrong. I thought maybe his water just needs changing so I changed it. He waits for food but doesn't eat it when I give it to him. Again please contact me with details about these symptoms as soon as you can and what to do if they're dangerous. Do you have a picture? Otherwise, it's difficult to know. But I can say that some betta fish have spots like that and they're normal. It's just part of their coloring. I can't say if this is the case for yours. But a picture would help.

It's weird, it seems that when he's upset he develops these. This has happened twice to him. Maybe it's a way to tell me something. Today he has returned back to normal.

If its a change in color in reaction to stress, then this is normal. my old betta will come up with brilliant colors I didnt know he had when he flared, or he will completely lose them when he is stressed. I think you should keep an eye out for what is stressing him instead.
