lol. I could do a set-up real cheap like that. But I always go over-board. XD
Can't help myself.

As I'm losing my decent internet connection in just a few days, I want to check something quick: Would it be alright to keep a new betta in a small heated container (1 gal-ish cheapie bowl - I have one at my parents house from ages ago) for a week or so while cycling/quarantining a brand new tank with brand new plants? I'd like to get everything for my betta - including the fish - in one trip to save time, and I was wondering if it would be ok to do this without any ill effects to the betta. I wouldd definitely have a heater with that little container, to make sure its actually warm enough for the fish. I would condition the water, so it wouldn't have any of that to deal with.

Also, does anyone know if Walmart or Petco carry Brine shrimp? If not, what about Petsmart?

That will definitely work. I don't think Walmart carries brine shrimp but Petco and Petsmart definitely carry the frozen brine shrimp.

I was hoping for some live prey to treat my Betta once and a while XD give him something fun to do. The only live prey I can think of other than brine shrimp are small ghost shrimp. They would, of course, have some hiding places, if they reached them in time!

Mosquito larvae. Stick a bucket of water outside, and they'll happen. :)
