A 'fancy' home

I recently spruced up my kitchen tank with some anubias nana I purchased.

It takes a special betta to live in that tank as our three German Shepherds are in and out of the kitchen all day, and there can be a little bit of turbulence at times. Luckily my new fancy HMPK male 'Clownie' is enjoying his home and spends most of his time hoping someone will take pity and chuck him some pellets.

Sort of FTS. Had to lean over the dog crate to snap one

Tank dimensions are odd. It's 45x24x16 (cms) so around 4 gallons I think.

Thanks. I actually got him for his matching female but he's turned out to be equally as nice.

I'm thinking it needs some crypts in there to hide the filter and give it more of a jungle feel. Just need to build up the substrate near the front.

This video shows him and his female.

What a gorgeous fish, and such a lovely tank too! Wish I had the space for a set-up like that.

soo gorgeous, I love how he looks. Does the tank have a cover? He could very easily jump out of that tank because the water level is high.

It's not a very big set-up. It's only around 16-20L or so. It is just sitting on a shelf in the kitchen.

The tank does have a lid. I only removed it for the photos as it was covered in dust from the dogs.

A beautiful tank for a beautiful betta! I'm hoping to do something like this for one of mine. Did you make the tank or was it bought?
