3D Aquarium Background

I found this cool site online that makes 3D aquarium backgrounds.

http://www.designsbynature.net/produ...al/10-bj111-b/

I was wondering if anyone else had experience with this type of background? I'm currently waiting for it to come in the mail.

Thanks;)

They can be very beautiful and give a lush effect for realistic tank set ups. I've seen them in malawi tanks and they look amazing in larger tanks. But they would probably take up a lot of width from smaller tanks.

The company said you can hide the filter and heater behind the 3D background, but then of course you lose all that extra space. The background is already 1.5 inches thick at some points.

I'll just have to figure the best placement of it in the tank when I get it ;)
I'll probably cut out a small section so the filter fits it and just place the heater on another side of the tank.

I'll update with photo when completed.

3D Aquarium pics

Okay, I got the 3D background yesterday. It took forever to put in since I already have an established tank. The fish kept wanting to go behind the background, the snail kept getting in the way, gravel was hard to keep piled out the way, etc. --- ANYWAY ---

Overall, worked out pretty well. I could have cut it better around where the filter is placed so it looks less obvious.......but it doesn't look too bad. If I ever do it again, I know for next time.
