Don't see why not, unless it is a particularly fat betta.

haha I'm sorry if that came off as rude. I assume you are joking :). My main concern is do you think there is enough privacy in there for a betta? Like is the hole to big?

I don't think the hole is too big. You could enhance the privacy by placing the hole opposite of what you want the betta to take cover from (another male in a divided tank or people at the front of the aquarium).

I could, but I think it would look better with the hole facing the front of the aquarium....But even that way do you think it is a good hiding/sleeping place?

My betta have never really used true caves. They seem to prefer a place where they can swim out of without having to turn around. You could try it. It seems like it would be a great cave.

Okay thanks. I just like the simple look of it, and I think it looks really functional and safe :)

Lol, I didn't think you were being rude!

Got to say, Odysseus's favourite bed is a big wad of java moss. He lies across it like it's a mattress. I'd put some of that inside/under the cave. :)

I was thinking of something like this for mine but the only thing I can find like this is made for lizards in vivs. Are they usually safe for aquarium use as well?

(sorry for high jacking. Saves another thread)
